Female health-intimate health

April 12, 2022 by susan

Help – the steroids are not working – Helping women with refractory vulvar lichen sclerosus.

Waiting lists for Women’s Gynaecological problems in UK are at a critical level.

I share this informative Post on an area of health which is still not discussed more openly, due to the sensitivity of the subject.
It informs on ‘women’s bits’ ‘problems down below’.

For those enlightened. it offers information on Lichen Sclerosis a problem affecting the most intimate parts of the female anatomy.

The Post:

“Help – the steroids are not working – Helping women with refractory vulvar lichen sclerosus”, details how best to manage this difficult and not uncommon health condition.

Lichen Sclerosus is commonly seen as a problem affecting women, but men and children can struggle physically and emotionally too.

The Post offers clear advice on how to treat the symptoms, and highlights the importance of checking symptoms to dismiss more serious health challenges e.g. Vulva cancer.

Professional advice is shared on the continued use of steroid cream to keep L.S. conditions controlled, not just when flare ups occur.

This health problem requires highlighting due to the levels of e.g. embarrassment, shame, depression, which stop many women from seeking help to manage this debilitating condition sooner, rather than later, when the symptoms have had months or years to escalate in intensity.

Thorough investigation is required because Vulva Cancer needs to be checked for elimination purposes.
There are several health problems which may need to be eliminated, and essential is the regular use of steroid ointment to manage this chronic condition.
Steroid cream or ointment is commonly considered to be only used sparingly, but treating L.S. requires regular use.
There is an excellent Facebook page specific to this sensitive subject titled:
lichen Sclerosus-sclerosis-UK Support Group for Women.

I offer an article I wrote titled: Lichen Sclerosis: Female Genital Health for The Lifestyle Medicine Summit in 2021.
I am a Lifestyle Prescriptions® Health Coach.
My article offers general information on the subject.

Struggling with a reproductive health problem?

October 28, 2021 by susan

Struggling with a reproductive health problem and ready to do the preparation, the ground work?

Consider the length of time you have struggled with your health issue.

It takes considerable time with months of healing input from you, working alongside a skilled practitioner like me, to lower, manage or clear your symptom.

There is no quick fix.

However, the reassurance I offer:
When you are ready to add intention, effort and to work alongside the medical doctors and specialists, physical healing and pain can be better managed, reduced or cleared.

You may still choose to do self-healing exercises alone because you know what to do, or think you know what’s required, and you may have some small success.

(And yes of course there is always the remarkable exception to that comment).

Mind, Body in Balance: Healing Reproductive Health

is essential as a stepping stone to healing your chronic or emotional problem.

I spend many sessions with a client relieving, releasing, and clearing emotional blocks, negative beliefs and high levels of stress and anxiety, (the ground work), before my clients uncover the root cause to their emotional or physical health symptom.

Imagine writing a book; it’s a process.
Building a website; it’s a process.
Much is involved.

Your body is an excellent healing machine, and Mindset requires some sorting first.

This programme I have developed is going to be incorporated into a 3 month, more likely a 6 month program, and the cost will be considerable.

When you invest in my Mind, Body in Balance, Healing Reproductive Health you will receive 6 Master Classes offering evidence based groundwork exercises, tools, techniques and more which are necessary to success.

The classes offer a route to calm and quiet.
The mind and body become more in balance and this offers improved physical health healing opportunity and a reduction in pain and discomfort.

You will practice the same principles I share and work through with my 1-1 clients.
You appreciate what is required on a healing journey.

Time is running out for you to invest at ground level.
Introductory price of £99.

£99 Introductory price ends Saturday, 30th October.

Reproductive Health: Lichen Schlerosus

February 18, 2021 by susan

Lichen sclerosus condition in dormant phase:

Around 1997 my doctor diagnosed me with a skin condition called Lichen sclerosus.

Lichen sclerosus is a skin condition that causes itchy white patches on the genitals or other parts of the body. There’s no cure, but treatment can help relieve the symptoms.

And the reason for Lichen sclerosus is… unknown.

In active/regeneration phase:

Inflammation, skin breakdown with all that can involve.

In my case my symptoms became active about 18 years later.

Lichen sclerosus is a chronic condition, and chronic ailments flair when a stress trigger is in play.
Pre-pubescent girls and post-menopausal women are the main groups affected.
I cannot give any comment regarding pre-pubescent girls, or from the LGBT community. Colleagues may offer information.

However, it is not purely a female problem, but much is written from the female perspective.

Although treatment can help, skin affected by lichen sclerosus can sometimes become scarred and tight over time. This can cause discomfort when peeing, pooing, having sex or getting an erection. If it’s severe, you might need a small operation.

NHS

Important: Cancer: Lichen sclerosus increases your risk of getting cancer on your vulva or penis.

How skin symptoms present:

There are two layers of skin; epidermis and dermis; a skin related blocked emotional trauma is held at cellular level.

The two skin layers have separate root cause stories; the subtleties of Loss of Touch, Protection or Defilement.
The precise part of the body affected has more specific trigger information attached to it.
If you have this debilitating symptom, I do not suggest you try to think your answers to WHY.

Medical treatment to manage symptoms:

Strong steroid cream used under direction from Doctor/Consultant. But that becomes detrimental in long term use.

My situation.

I remember the time,1997 when I was diagnosed.
I had just gone through a traumatic personal challenge, and looking back, I can pinpoint the potential root cause start to this problem.
And the active/regeneration phase 18 years later, when I became aware of change, had a specific and relevant emotional challenge connection.

You may ask:

  • How do I find out “Why ME?”
  • “Will I be able to reduce these symptoms?”

Here’s what to do:

Keep a record of flare ups in a little booklet; date and note particular symptom. eg Skin breakdown, itch, pain.
Seeing a pattern of stress, and the stress situation eventually resolved, is the first step to easing this problem.
A doctor will ask you how long you’ve had the problem, what symptoms are. Have that information to hand.

Why do you have this health problem?

Now it gets interesting. I work with the innate knowledge you hold subconsciously; the Body, Mind Connection to your presenting symptom.

How do I help you?

That’s when I ask you a short series of questions which take you to the Root Cause, the Why you present this symptom.
With guidance and support you release the emotive stress trigger, so that healing can begin.
The strong symptoms will reduce and you can go about your life without fear of vile bursts of pain, panic around sex or feeling less than the person you want to be.

If you seek to improve and potentially clear your symptoms, message me now to book a Root Cause Analysis.
