The TV programme ‘Marriage’ with super performances from Sean Bean, Nicola Walker and all cast members is an interesting watch.
Did you see aspects mirroring a concern or disappointment in your longterm partnership?
Did you smile when you could see similarities?
I turned it off after 30 minutes cause I found bits excruciating, (meeting the boyfriend).
However, as the subject of managing to maintain the best from a long term relationship for women 60+ is my next offering, I caught up with Episode 1 and 2 last night.
The James Bolam father character actually can mirror behaviours seen in younger husbands/partners.
The manipulative behaviour of the daughter’s latest boyfriend is ghastly.
Relationships matter and are usually a necessity to help get through life.
There must always be a place for give and take, and being bold enough to suggest tweaks.
So I will continue to watch and see how the characters deal with their partners.
