
Just get over it!
I’m now 5 days into my healthy eating regime so how am I feeling today? I have chosen to make myself accountable in an attempt to improve my chances of success. But I’m worried about my Friday Night Curry!
Well it’s Friday so that’s always a good feeling. I slept well, much better than I have been doing for a considerable time. I breakfasted 2 guests and changed one bedroom; lovely young men off to an important meeting.
During the day I also snatched some time to try to look at hotels in Malta for October; that’s why I have been doing the BnB. It’s my holiday fund.
I do actually feel quite upbeat. A few weeks ago I read a little, undertood less, about the Planet Mercury going into Retrograde and how one may feel challenged; or something like that. Well on the 22nd September which was yesterday, the Retrograde phase had passed. This is only a little tongue in cheek but I do feel less challenged and irritable for sure!
Today I intend shopping for food items which will allow me to vary my regime and to have the staple items in the house. Plan For Success.

But first, what have I eaten today?
Breakfast: Porage oats, the most gorgeous strawberries and some natural yogurt. (Yes it has been the same every day and variety is highly recommended however it hasn’t happened here yet).
Treat: 3 Chantenay carrots (getting a bit tired of them BUT I may have to eat something mid morning and I cannot take a chance that I will be weak. Therefore I carry them with me. ) Plan to Succeed -ALL THE TIME.
Lunch: Prawns, dressing, squeezed lemon, lettuce and grated cheese. A small piece of a brown loaf.
Treat: a small cracker and a bite of cheese.
Key Point:
I have not been feeling starving or hungry at any time, so far on any day. I have been eating regularly, without going hours over because of being busy. I have a regime. Let’s say Lunch is between 12 and 1.30pm, dependent on when I ate breakfast. Dinner between 6 and 7pm; 7pm is pushing it by all reported accounts I’ve read. But I am succeeding because I have been following a strict regime. I sit and enjoy my food. Plan to Succeed.
So, Friday night nosh.
Family and friends know that Herb and I are hopelessly boring and unless something else is going on, we go to the pub and collect an Indian Takeaway about 9.30pm.
I love my Friday evenings.
However! I knew that 5 days in I could not be stupid enough to say that this is my one treat this week. I have not merited Special treats yet. Simples!
So we (thank you Herb- he strangely became hungry as I was cooking my ( splash of virgin olive oil ) fried chicken and some veg. at 6pm. We both ate early. We did go out to the pub and I enjoyed a Sauvignon Spritzer with Soda ( how can anyone have it with lemonade?). I suppose that was my treat.
