I have taken down the Christmas decorations and returned them to the attic for another year. When I peek into our attic now I smile with joy because over the last 5 weeks we have systematically decluttered 10 years of excess baggage, done numerous trips to the dump and have deposited many items into Charity shops. I haven’t done EBay because that seemed like an nightmare idea. Every year for the last ten years I have said,’ This November let’s sort out the attic!’ And every year till now we have avoided it; heart just not in the job.
Herb and I had put 2 houses worth of junk, (ah there I said it) into our attic. We both had many memories hiding up there. My children’s stuff was in there too. They were 18 and 19 when I moved down to Rowlands Castle; and although at university I wanted them to feel that they were as inclusive in the move as Herb and I, so all their bits and bobs came too. Herb is a shocker for keeping things so I do hope the exercise was therapeutic for him; it certainly seemed to be. My daughter is living in Australia but when she comes home she has expected Marlow items, University items, London items all to stay…. Most have gone. My great excuse, a drastic one perhaps is that these items had to go so that I could sort out the rooms for BnB.
Mind Clutter is just the same. We block things we don’t fancy tackling and eventually the clutter stops us from welcoming new and better; there is not space for opportunity. Such a pity.
I specialise in EFT and Matrix reImprinting – Impressive therapeutic tools to help with releasing mind blocks, negative beliefs and all self-sabotaging behaviour. I help clients maintain and strengthen a positive mindset by encouraging release from an emotionally challenged belief system e.g. phobia, big trauma, low confidence.
Taking the first step is what’s required. This encourages momentum. Resulting in -who knows what?
If you need to declutter a foggy mindset or wish to find out more, please phone for a chat.
