6 March 2011 I am going to give some quotes and thoughts about ‘Forgiveness’. Forgiveness is one area which relates to the heart chakra.
The pain of a lifetime can be erased in a single act of pure forgiveness……unconditional love, forgiveness and surrender ……..these abilities are not easily achieved in the face of what would otherwise cause reactions of anger or fear.
Deborah King The choice to forgive is a greater challenge than remaining resentful. Think of the phrase, ‘bitter and twisted.’ Not a pretty picture. If you have to listen to someone ‘mouthing off’ about their resentment, it isn’t easy. From my point of view that’s because I am aware quite how damaging that feeling is for someone. I can help people who feel this way, but, I think to truly forgive must be a great feeling, a feeling of total freedom from something awful. I thought I had forgiven someone, which is of course a help, but fundamentally – I was fooling myself. I am a work in progress. I realised today, having a walk on a lovely spring day, that I must work and work hard on truly forgiving someone. As I said- a work in progress. One day I may tell you if I have actually succeeded. But I know that I can do something about it, I could probably do it quickly if I choose too.
If I were with a client I would say, ‘What good is that doing you?’ Eventually I may get their truthful answer. Then things tumble into place. The success is a wonder to watch.
Yes, a work in progress.
