Robert Templeton: My Malta Siege War Years 1940-1942.

I have transcribed my father, Robert Templeton’s 2nd World War Memoires; The Malta Siege years.

As the film Dunkirk is presently enjoying its big media explosion it seems like a good time to share the transcription of my father’s World War 2 Memoires; a labour of love I indulged myself in over this winter 2017. I have sent a copy and photos to the Malta at War Museum and have met and chatted with Mario Farrugia the Chairman and CEO, who is always interested in receiving such memorabilia. Unfortunately for the moment, my sister Marjorie and I cannot find our father’s war medals; such is life!

Many times our father talked fondly of his Malta war years so I finally decided to do his story justice. It is of course for family and friends, but perhaps there is still a wider audience for the story that only a real soldier, who lived through it, can tell.

The EFT Tapping Points and Specific Benefits

Here are specific emotional releasing benefits for each of the Tapping Points.

I wish to highlight that EFT can work in 2 particular ways:

  1. At a self-help tool to manage and significantly reduce emotional feelings which cause anxiety.
  2. At a deeply transformational therapeutic level, which when led by a trained practitioner, offers life-changing new beginnings free from limiting negative beliefs.

 

Tapping Points

What to do:

If any Tapping point PINGS out at you, I suggest you gently rub/massage that area for a couple of moments, quieten your breathing for a minute or so and you will feel better; able to deal with the rest of the day.

 

Regardless of how slightly inconvenient or how bloody difficult a problem seems, it probably still needs dealt with. Procrastinating doesn’t help much either and if you are consciously wanting to sort things out then Tapping is a gift which can and will help you.

Eye Brow – Relieves trauma and fears, increases courage and energy levels

Side of Eye – Relieves lethargy, increases calmness, enables decision making and determination

Under Eye- Creates harmony, contentment- useful in addiction, anxiety and deprivation

Under Nose- Relieves embarrassment, shyness, feelings of panic and shock, good for allergies

Chin – Self-empowerment, removes fatigue, alleviates feelings of shame, strengthens the

(under lip ) system

Collar Bone- Increases willpower, promotes gentleness, relieves mental strain, pain control centre, important point for entire body mind system

Under Arm- Clears the mind, improves concentration and decision making, relieves anxiety and addictive urges

Outside edge of Thumb – a positive outlook, works with obsessive behaviour

Outside edge Index finger – relieves guilt, resentment, understanding, forgiving

Middle finger – releases feeling of inferiority, jealousy, regret, allergies, humour

Little finger – empathy, compassion, unconditional love, helps memory, optimism

Gamut point (just lower than knuckles between little finger and ring finger) physical pain relief, despair, depression, emotional baggage

Karate Point dissolves self-sabotage, self-hatred, increases self-esteem, self-confidence

Intuitively you will favour a point and that’s very useful; you can even massage discreetly when at meetings and noone need know. Possibly you do that unconsciously anyway!

 

Key point:The self-treating- some emotions are just too difficult to deal with and it is recommended to consult with a qualified practitioner.

Simple and effective questioning, EFT, Group Discussion, Mindfulness and Visualisation exercises, Walking and Talking.

Working with tools, techniques, therapies which help you to unravel a Subconscious which resists change. It is not a one size fits all. You have the power to intuitively find out how you can help yourself; unlock a stronger and  more confident self.

      • Unblock Self-Sabotaging behaviours.
      • Clear the path of resistance OR find the path of least resistance.

Key Question: Why is it difficult to change or move on?

Answer: Your subconscious holds the key; it can keep you stuck.

      • It wants to protect you, keep you safe by reminding you of past anxieties.
      • It runs old programmes; your default patterns of behaviour kick in and trip you up just as progress is being made.
      • When you feel anxious the subconscious Video Loops pictures by replaying your old, disturbing scenarios, increasing anxiety.

Perhaps your subconscious is saying:

‘Why do you want to go and try that again? Did you not take a big enough beating the last time?

orHe/she won’t change so what’s the point?  Just keep to what you know for goodness sake!’

But life moves on and you can move on too.
